Mar 10,  · I keep seeing deals on Hall & Oates MFSL vinyl packages where they just combine them all. I own them all and and all are excellent. Since you already have Voices I guess a package doesn't make much sense, but I would definitely get Private Eyes and H2O while you can still get them.

Though the production is state of the art for , what keeps Private Eyes from sounding robotic is that it never gets in the way of the kinetic energy of Hall & Oates ' touring band, who give the music muscle; they are what keeps the album sounding vibrant plus years after its release, since while elements of the production have dated, it still captures a real band working at a peak.

Editors' Notes This handy, packed-to-the-brim career overview of Daryl Hall & John Oates contains not only the group’s six chart-toppers, but also plenty of other classic soul-pop singles and deep cuts from their ‘70s/’80s heyday. “Rich Girl” couches its biting critique in deftly deployed string arrangements, while the understated R&B croon of “Sara Smile” remains irresistible.
