The "Complete" (well nearly complete) Animals A great double CD with all the collaborations between the original Animals line-up and Micky Most but not their subsequent material. The Animals were not great composers at that time and relied upon making superb covers as /5(7).

Despite the fact that this compilation was released in (or perhaps because of it) this is still by far the best sounding compilation of The Animals EMI/Mickie Most sides. No noticeable noise reduction or compression and more or less straight transfers for the masters - another Steve Hoffman forum favourite/5(13).

The Animals catalogue has been chopped and diced over the years and there was never a satisfactory collection of their early recordings until they released this Mickie Most produced two CD set. I don't know if this was remastered in any way but the sound is much better than my /5(54).
