Freedumb is the ninth studio album by crossover band Suicidal Tendencies, released on May 18, on Suicidal Records. The tracks are rawer than the funk influenced thrash metal direction they were taking before the hiatus. The album's cover art is a reference to the photo Raising the Flag on Iwo Jima taken during World War II/5(20).

This album shows Suicidal Tendencies playing good hardcore punk again with a few metal moments. All the songs are mostly fast and very energetic, some poor lyrics but the excellent musicianship makes up for it. The most notable thing about this album is the excellent bass playing. There are a few bad songs but for the most part its a strong album.

May 18,  · Freedumb has been out for over ten years now, but for a variety of reasons, I just got it recently. Looking back, this was an album for people who were fans of Suicidal Tendencies from the beginning, and stuck with them through their many phases. The main style is hardcore punk/metal, sounding much of the time reminiscent of their first two legendary releases/5(32).
