Giuseppe Domenico Scarlatti (26 October – 23 July ) who wrote the Sonata K. in F minor was an Italian composer who spent much of his life in the service of the Portuguese and Spanish royal families. Like his renowned father Alessandro Scarlatti, he composed in a variety of musical forms, although today he is known mainly for his keyboard sonatas.

Mozart's well-known F major Sonata is nicely presented in this Masterworks Edition complete with performance helps, instructions on ornamentation, and notes within the score that show differences between the Autograph Edition and the First Edition, with a lengthy portion of the 2nd movement showing the notation from both versions on separate staves.

Fourth Movement (Prestissimo) Form: Sonata Form. F minor. SONATA FORM – The long episode in the “development” as caused this movement to be sometimes described as being in Rondo form, but if it were in Rondo form, the Exposition would have ended in the tonic key with a return of the first subject.. EXPOSITION: Bars First subject in F minor (Tonic).
